The Motor Show of Bologna inaugurates the Innovation Cube where the lights are focused on new moblity technologies
The Italian research centers and the car company world were the protagonists of "The Innovation Cube", the new exposition hall created by Promotor International in collaboration with H2Roma. At the Innovation Cube the most advanced mobility technologies were presented in the field of security, eco-compatibility, info-mobility and design.
Italian Research Centers, CNR (ITAE-Messina and Istituto Motori-Napoli), ENEA, Environment Park Torino, Sapienza - Università di Roma and the Universities of Emilia Romagna, presented to the public their prototypes and the results of their researches.
The University of Rome - la Sapienza, exposed HOST (Human Oriented Sustainabile Transport). The prototype had a promising outcome, many people were curious and asked information and different news talked about it. Several interviews were carried out by the project leader, Fabio Orecchini, and by his staff, and different newspapers had the opportunity to present the Innovation Cube and all the tech-news presented.
Updating at the end of the second project year A general meeting at the end of the second project year has been organised within Stile Bertone premises at Caprie (Turin, Italy).
The main subject of this meeting was to make an updating of the work progress at the end of the design workpackages. In terms of technical activities this encompassed the end of the design phase and the first step of the HOST prototype construction. The chassis and one mounted wheel corner (only suspension) have been presented at the Stile Bertone workshop. The various powertrain components to be installed have been simulated (on the basis of technical specifications provided) by using coloured polystyrene boxes, so to practically understand the dimensions and the layout suitability of the built chassis.
